Individual psychotherapy for adults is a form of therapy focused on individual needs and challenges. It is a process in which the client works with a therapist to understand and resolve life, emotional or interpersonal difficulties.
-
Psychotherapy can be helpful for people experiencing emotional difficulties, interpersonal problems, depression, anxiety or life crises. Psychotherapy may also be a treatment method recommended by a psychiatrist. If you feel that you need support in dealing with life's challenges, psychotherapy may be beneficial for you. Usually, after about 5 sessions, you will be able to tell whether this method is bringing you emotional benefits and whether you can imagine continuing this method of working on yourself.
-
The number of psychotherapy sessions depends on the individual needs and goals of the client. Some people benefit from short-term help, while others prefer a longer therapeutic process. Psychotherapy is an individualised and flexible process in terms of duration and number of sessions.

Therapy sessions are not covered by health insurance. However, we issue invoices in accordance with the Heilpraktikergesetz (German law regulating alternative medicine), and some private health insurance companies will reimburse the costs. A session lasts 50 minutes and costs 90 euros. It is advisable to consult your insurer for more information.
